The month of March is full of fun and exciting events in the High Country, from Boone and Blowing Rock to Banner Elk. Whether you’re searching for family-friendly events, food and drink events, live music or free festivals, you’ll have plenty of options to choose from. Top March Events in the High Country

March 2: First Sunday 1/2 Night Special at App Ski

Ski or Ride for only $12 on the first Sunday of each month. Dec. 1, Jan. 5, Feb. 2, and Mar. 2, tickets for Sunday’s 1/2 night session are only $12. Tickets must be purchased online by noon the day of the session to receive special rate. See you on the slopes! March 9: Sugar Mountain Easter Egg Hunt

Dress up in your Easter costume and come join Sugar Bear and Sweetie Bear on the slopes in search of prize-filled eggs. You may be the lucky winner of a season pass hidden in the grand prize egg! Or be one of three contestants awarded a prize for the most creative, imaginative, and colorful costumes. Valid lift/slope tickets or passes are required for participation.

Participants should meet at the bottom of the Easy Street slope at 8:30 a.m. Please call for additional details. The event is ONLY for children 12 and under. More info: skisugar.com/event/easter-egg-hunt

March 13: Jones House Jams

Only 40 seats are available. Advanced reservation/payment is required. Doors open 30 minutes prior to the show. Workshops are free, but require pre-registration. Limited parking is available on a first come first served basis in the Jones House lot for workshop and concert attendees (Downtown Boone metered parking is free after 5pm Mon-Sat, all day on Sundays) ore info: www.joneshouse.org

March 19-20: St. Meltdown Games

Winter isn’t over until we say it is! Join us for one last weekend of end-of-the-season silliness! Cardboard Box Derbies, Terrain Park Events, and our signature Pond Skim / Costume Contest are just part of the fun! All events are free to enter with purchase of a ski ticket.
