Tweetsie Railroad is the High Country’s Wild West theme park, located in Blowing Rock. The family-friendly theme park is filled with rides and entertainment for all ages. Tweetsie Railroad gets into the holiday spirit with its Tweetsie Christmas® celebration.
About Tweetsie Christmas
On select weekends, from November 29th to December 30th, Tweetsie Railroad transforms into a winter wonderland. The family-friendly theme park will offer nighttime train rides through thousands of dazzling lights, along with other holiday activities and entertainment.

Tweetsie Christmas Activities
In addition to the rides and attractions you already enjoy at Tweetsie Railroad, guests can also enjoy seasonal activities and entertainment during Tweetsie Christmas. Guests of all ages can enjoy a real train ride behind a historic steam locomotive, twinkling lights, sing-along carols, and festive family activities. Explore Santa’s Gingerbread House, where kids can share their holiday wishes and take photos with Santa himself (available until Christmas). Delight in holiday treats like hot chocolate and roast s’mores by the fire, and be transported by the joyful sounds of carolers and our special Christmas show.

Tweetsie Christmas Train Ride
View thousands of lights across Tweetsie Railroad during the nightly train ride. You’ll ride in an open-air train car pulled by a historic steam locomotive. Train rides run every half hour beginning at 5:30 p.m.
Santa’s Gingerbread House
Pay Santa Clause a visit at Santa’s Gingerbread House at Tweetsie Railroad. This ornate home is filled with candied furniture and decoration. Meet Santa and take a photo on his gingerbread bench.
Live Christmas Show
Audiences of all ages will enjoy the heartwarming, toe-tapping, live Christmas Show in the Tweetsie Palace.
Tweetsie Christmas Tickets
Tickets for Tweetsie Christmas are sold by train ride time, separate from the regular admission. There are a limited number of tickets for each ride time so advance tickets are strongly recommended.
