Jun 19-22 2025, Artists with ties to the High Country return this summer.
Compiled by Chris Murphy
Presented by the Town of Boone, the free event will feature performances and activities throughout the day at multiple downtown locations.
“It’s really a homecoming — we hope everybody will Boonerang,” said Mark Freed, director of cultural resources for the Town of Boone. “Everyone who’s spent some time in Boone and has gone away loves to Boonerang back and spend some time in the High Country, and there’s no better time than the beginning of summer.”
Vendor Market:
Of course local vendors and non-profits will be on site with handmade crafts, jewelry, pottery, artwork, clothing, food products, specialty items and tons of gift ideas.
Beer Garden:
In addition to the music and arts, the festival will have designated ares for beer gardens. Local craft beer will be provided by Booneshine Brewing Co., Lost Province Brewing Co. and Appalachian Mountain Brewery.
Food:
Downtown Boone has many restaurants but there will also be food trucks and food vendors located throughout the festival.
Kid Zone:
The Watauga Library hosts the “Kid Zone”. Bring your friends and family to enjoy all the kid friendly activities such as a bounce house, face painting, sweet treats, and more!
Music Lineup:
Just to name a few, the Nude Party, Melissa Reaves, The Tree of Forgiveness Band, Empire Strikes Back, Gringo Star plus many more!
Boonerang is sponsored by the Town of Boone, Explore Boone, Downtown Boone Development Association, Watauga County Economic Development Commission, Watauga Arts Council and Double Wood Farm.
