Celebrate the Fourth of July in Blowing Rock
If you’re visiting Blowing Rock for the Fourth of July, be sure to stay the entire weekend. The charming mountain town celebrates America’s independence with a July 4th Celebration on Friday and Saturday, July 5–6.
Blowing Rock July 4th Celebration
Just because it’s past July 4 doesn’t mean you have to stop celebrating the Fourth of July. Blowing Rock continues the patriotic festivities on Friday and Saturday with a parade, live music and fireworks.
Events start on Friday with live music at Memorial Park from Summer Daze Band. This park dance will be the perfect, family-friendly way to kick off the weekend.
Saturday morning in downtown Blowing Rock, adults can compete in the horseshoe tournament. This competition is for adults ages 18 and older. Prizes will be awarded to the best competitors. During and after the competition, all ages can enjoy the live music playing at Memorial Park.
Later, gather along Main Street for the Independence Day parade.
Following the parade, the Cockman Family will be performing at Memorial Park. Also at the park, the whole family can play park games and even win some prizes.
The day ends at dark with a firework display at Blowing Rock Country Club. These spectacular fireworks can be seen from many places in town, including Goforth Road where roadside parking is permitted.
