Lees-McRae Veterans Day Memorial Event

Lees-McRae College will hold its annual Veterans Day memorial event at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 10 at the veterans’ memorial site on the college’s North Campus. The event will feature a speech from Judy Abee, who will share the story of her uncle William “Billy” Buchanan ’42. Buchanan was a Lees-McRae alumnus and World War II veteran who is named and honored on the college’s memorial. Members of the local community are encouraged to join Lees-McRae students, faculty, and staff for this special event in celebration of our country’s veterans.
