Daniel Boone Day at Hickory Ridge History Museum
Celebrate National Daniel Boone Day in the town that was named for the frontiersman. At Hickory Ridge History Museum in Daniel Boone Park, learn about Daniel Boone with living historical interpreters, colonial craft demonstrations, and tours through the museum’s six historical cabins.
Colonial activities are scheduled for the day allowing visitors to experience life on the frontier during the time of Daniel Boone and his family. Watch blacksmithing, cooking on the hearth, spinning wool at the wheel, and listening to 18th-century tunes and jigs. Take part in tomahawk throwing and enjoy square dancing lessons at the Tatum Cabin.
