This popular annual parade begins at 11 a.m. at the Lees-McRae College campus library and marches through downtown.
An all-American parade and celebration takes place July 3rd in Banner Elk. It’s a day that makes Uncle Sam proud, starting with the Banner Elk Fourth of July Parade at 11:00 a.m. The hour-long parade begins at the Lees-McRae College campus library and goes down Main Street.
The parade features cars, trucks, animals and people adorned in red, white & blue to honor America’s birthday. It is one of the most popular Fourth of July parades in North Carolina.
At noon, following the parade, head to the town park for Star Spangled Banner Elk Fourth of July celebration.
It features old-fashioned games and food vendors, along with the ever-popular Kiwanis Duck Race. The Star Spangled Banner Elk Fourth celebration is from noon to 3 p.m. and is free and open to everyone. There is a charge to participate in the duck race.
