SUMMARY:First Day Hike at NC State Parks
DESCRIPTION:Start the new year right with a ranger-led 0.75-mile hike on the Maple Run and Beech Tree Trail loop. Both trails are considered easy. After the hike, there will be a campfire and hot cocoa at the amphitheatre.\nAlternatively, plan a self-guided hike at Grandfather Mountain State Park ( https://www.ncparks.gov/state-parks/grandfather-mountain-state-park ) or Elk Knob State Park ( https://www.ncparks.gov/state-parks/elk-knob-state-park ). Find detailed hiking information and links to maps on our Hiking ( https://www.exploreboone.com/outdoors/hiking/ ) page.\n
