Treating our customers like family since the beginning!
Doc – Randy “Doc” McCoy is a retired Army Special Forces (Green Beret, 7th SFG), Emergency Field Surgeon. Doc retired from the Army in 2002 and after 7 years of medical school decided to go back to college for geology. He attended Appalachian State University where he double majored in Geology and Recreation Management. Doc has been cutting gemstones since he was 19 years old and loves to teach this dying art to his young son D’Artagnan. Doc and his wife Trina truly enjoy what they do and look forward to going to work every day. Their favorite part of the business is meeting new people and making new friends! You'll find them at DRGM most days along with their son and family pet Phoebe, our resident "Rock Hound".
